What are the software licensing terms?

General information

You can purchase directly through our website. Our eCommerce partner Verifone handles order processing on our behalf. There are no recurring fees or payments for any of our licenses.

Personal use

You can activate Microsoft NTFS for Mac by Tuxera on up to three different computers. Your license is valid for life and updates are free of charge. If you've used all three activations, you can transfer an active license when you buy a new Mac by deactivating your installation on one of the previous ones.

Professional use

You need to purchase a separate license for every Mac you use. Each license is still valid for life and updates are free of charge, as with the personal use license. These licenses can also be transferred to new machines, as long the total number of valid licenses and Macs remains the same.

Professional use in large organizations

Like a freelancer or solo professional, a valid license must be acquired for each installation. For a large quantity of licenses, or to acquire licenses for multiple users, you can obtain volume licensing for a lower cost as outlined in How do I license and deploy NTFS for Mac in an organization or for multiple users?

Refund policy

If you have already purchased the software and run into insurmountable issues, refunds can be requested within 15 days of payment. Our support team will typically attempt to resolve any problems you encounter with the software before a refund is granted.
