How to check that the file was properly downloaded
To make sure the installer disk image was properly downloaded, you can compare the MD5 checksum of your copy against a known good checksum.
To do so launch Terminal (Applications → Utilities → Terminal) and run the following command:
md5 /Path_to_the_downloaded_file/tuxerantfs_2023.1.dmg
Hint: You can just type md5 into the Terminal-window, and then drag and drop the downloaded file into the Terminal-window to fill in the rest!
The output of the command should be as follows:
MD5 (Downloads/tuxerantfs_2023.1.dmg) = a13f179e0f500c76b475f737f9b0de25
