I can't set up Apple Pay after changing system security policy
Related: How do I enable third party kernel extensions on Apple Silicon-based Macs?
Unfortunately there is currently no way to utilize NTFS for Mac and Apple Pay at the same time if you are using a new Apple Silicon (M1 and later) based Mac. This is because Apple has deprecated the use of third party system software (kernel extensions) at the highest security settings which are required for Apple Pay to work. This means that even if you approve our kernel extension in reduced security mode, it will be prevented from loading once you revert the security level back to its initial setting.
While Apple does provide a new method to implement secure system software, their implementation does not (as of this writing) support file system drivers, such as the one required to use NTFS for Mac. This means we cannot fix the issue until Apple releases an updated model that we can use.
We're terribly sorry for the inconvenience and will issue an update as soon as we're able to provide a solution.
